Detlef was in the past and is right now the "alpha male" of LAKE PLACID, the members of the band in 1976 called him "Scooter", because he always did "intelligent talking", like his alter ego from the Muppets.

Detlef does nearly all of the LAKE PLACID - compositions. His musical trademarks are his rough and high voice and his "fist in face" electric guitar playing.
Message from Detlef to his fans: "On the new LAKE PLACID-album you will definitely hear no accordion!"
